GENERAL INFORMATION

Availability:
Test performed Twice weekly (usually Tuesday and Thursday)

Reference Intervals:
Antifungal efficacy and pharmacodynamic studies of posaconazole in

experimental animal models suggest that the time the plasma

concentration remains above the MIC is the most predictive for

efficacy. Trough concentration should be >700 ng/mL for best efficacy

(limited data) and >250 ng/mL for prophylaxis, each at steady state (ie

7 days after starting therapy).
